Deviation Actions

Plays and theatrical works, by tradition, have been on the cutting edge of cultural standards.  From musicals like Hair to Ibsen's Doll House, playwrights have always managed to push society's buttons.  Arguably, wherever and whenever playwrights are given the freedom to write creatively and with impunity, it is under these circumstances that the best of theater is born.

In keeping with that opinion, House-of-Playwrights will have a mostly laissez-faire content standard, meaning that submissions will not be refused based on subjectively objectionable material.  Plays and monologues of every ideologically divergence will be given a voice in our group, both from the left and the right, from the angriest to the sublimest, from the most strung-out to the most sober, from the most biased to the most objective, and so on.  Members can write... whatever.

However, with this liberty comes some minor stipulations, so that our group might remain a place that is (moderately) safe for deviants to browse:
+Submissions containing pornographic or sexually obscene material, scenarios or enactments WILL NOT be allowed

+Submissions containing violence of a perverse and overly graphic nature (e.g., AO/NC-17 level violence) WILL NOT be allowed

+Submissions that directly and clearly present a threat to another deviant (e.g., doxing personal information) WILL NOT be allowed

+Submissions that plagiarize other writers' words and/or consist primarily of other writers' words WILL NOT be allowed
These policies are not meant to limit or inhibit members' creative inclinations, but to set a baseline standard for submissions.  If there are any points of confusion, or if you wish to report a deviation which might violate these policies, please contact Same-side
